I don't think that's going to happen for this guy. What he needs to do is come back to Greece and play or try to go to another Priemiership Club. Bolton at the moment is on a great roll and I don't think that Stelios is on the coaches radar other than coming off the bench.

If he doesn't start for Bolton than he should definitely go to another team because he's an extremely talented player and deserves better than that!

i have seen premiership highlights the last couple of weeks

in both weeks giannakopoulos was a regular player for bolton

he takes corner pieces and got an assist this weekend

he also had a nice shot on goal but just missed

but he is playing more and looks good

big mistake for Olympiakos not keeping him could have used him his replacment georgadis big dissapointment

But stelios keep up the good work

nah he starts about every 2nd or 3rd game but usually comes on as a sub every game. His main rival is Diouf

There are some rumours about Giannakopoulos that he comes to BJK
do you have any information about this?

guys, simply do NOT get carried away by those rumours... I would love to see Turks playing in Greece and Greeks playing in Turkey but I'm afraid it's not possible at the moment. In both countries' press there have been so many rumours since summer and nothing happened... Here's a list of rumours I already noticed...

Fatih Terim to coach Olympiacos... May-June 2004
Karagounis to Galatasaray... June-December 2004
Dellas to Galatasaray... July-August 2004
Basinas to Besiktas... January 2005
Akin Serhat to Olympiacos... January 2005
Stelios Giannakopoulos to Besiktas... January 2005
Eleftheropoulos to Fenerbahce... August 2004
Djordjebitch to Galatasaray... January 2005
Ilija Ivic to Galatasaray and Besiktas... July 2004
Ibrahima Yattara to PAOK... January 2005...

There is already a Turk playing in the Alpha division.

Nice misspelling on Djordjevic's name rolleyes.gif

Honestly, he should be considered clinically INSANE if Stelios even contemplates a move from the Premiership to Turkey and Besiktas even !

Till then.........

stelios is fine at bolton.....hes not about to take his carreer and flush it down the toilet in besiktas......

giannakopoulos doesnt need lower football, no respect from besiktas fans (they are a nationalistic club), and get paid in monopoly money he will get with BeSH*Tkas.....

Erol Bulut used to be a good player......what hapened to him? he was linked to PAO once too...

Baykara is hell of a player. He's yuong, but was he well known in Turkey??
I think Xanthi are finally putting it together..Their foreign players sem to do well (Nikaci apparently is great too), and if they start re-inserting some local youth I really think they can achieve a lot.

Besiktas may not be a good move for Stelios, but don't dismiss the Turkish league so easily. It cant be wqorse than our rubbish.
